Thread: Is it possible to rank any site without link building

I want to ask that if I do only on-page and I don't do link building, can I rank any less competitive keyword with this technique/

If the competition is very bad and your on page seo is excellent you could get a decent ranking but then domain age, and popularity will come into play right away so even a site with worse on page seo might be higher than you simply because of those aspects.

Sometimes, it happens. If you have an extraordinary website with very good content, delivering good user experience... then there are chances that Google highlight your website in search results.
If your content is encouraging enough for organic link building then your website can rank high. In this case you are not putting in any efforts for link building.

But this is a complete speculation and exception

I dont think that ranking a website in google SERPs without link-building happens. SEO is a process of on-page and off-page (link-building techniques). So we cant exclude one of them.

You could, but it wouldn't be optimal. You cold do either on page or off page separately, but you wouldn't get the same results if you don't combine the two. It would be a great experiment though..

not its not possible that without backlinks you get top SERP because SERP is also depend on backlinks.

You can rank ok with just on page SEO. But, you can also get knocked off your perch very easily if someone decides to compete against you for a similar search term.

It can be done, but its harder than the link method.

If you make sure your meta tags etc. and your on page SEO is all based at that keyword then unless its a highly competitive keyword it should be okay.

Is there any reason you don't want to do any link building? Remember you don't have to do link exchanges, you could just comment on blogs and link back to your site with your keyword as your title.

If your website have unique and compelling content then other webmasters automatically link to your websites and your website is gonna rank well and early.

Sites having good quality and keyword rich content go on top in SERPs only by little effort. But link building is necessary to be on top for long time.

I am afraid I am not sure as big search engines give high importance to the links. Although from the recent years links value has been downgraded a bit but still they do have weight in the rankings. Plus, realize the links not as the source of better ranking but they also bring traffic, readers and conversions to your site.

You could if there is not competition. However it would likely take a long time, and it may or may not work. If you are willing to take that gamble, then go for it

Yes, you can get better ranking positions without link building by applying excellent on page optimization. you should place your title, meta keywords and description with checking keyword density.

I thinks the Less Competition doing good on page optimization then u got the ranking but if you want to getting the constant ranking then you have to doing the link building...

There is no chance of it. With link building is only a difficult task to get a good PR. With out link building is not possible.

Its hard to do it but on-page seo give boost to your site and if you do off-page after on-page then it will be very best to rank it. so therefor i will say that you should do on-page and off-page both.

If your keyword is very poor and you have good and informative content in your website so definitely you will get some ranking but if you want to get better visibility so you have to do On-page and Off-page optimization

If you have great content, good title and an older domain name, then it is possible to rank a keyword without doing link building campaigns.
