Thread: Domain Name Tip

I am seeing more people every week who have went out and bought a domain that is so similar to another it drives me crazy.

When you choose a domain name, you check and you find it in use, just changing it by adding one more letter just bugs me. Is

that not like you are trying to tag along on someone elses misfires?

Do you mean typo domains ?

if you mean generic domain names then I don't see what's the problem. If someone has already taken the "camera.com" then others can take any other thing like " cameras.com " or "camera1.com" if they are happy with it.

you also can use google keyword tool to get more ideas in order to get more targetted domain name according to query search, even though naybe you got long tail keyword but at least you can rank them if use in domain name

when I chose my domain, I just thought a name and checked whether it's available or not, luckily it was available and I bought. I just wanted a brandable name. Not a domain with keywords in it.

People usually do the typo thing in order to try to get misstyped domain traffic.
