Domain exact match or aged domain

Hey IMT members, I'm going to ask you a question. It is
What is the best for SEO, exact domain match with keywords in it or an aged domain without keywords ?

According to my knowledge exact domain match with keywords in it is better to rank a new site, but for old sites, it doesn't matter. I think you have experience about this in different ways, share what you know. We can make some kinda SEO data base here with all of our knowledge !!

    We could at that

I worked on an aged domain that had a few backlinks, virtually no optimization, seriously no meta details or KW in content, and three months later I have them at the top of page one for a list of keywords, some we never even factored into research.

With a new site though, you have to optimize. it will never be picked up as quickly as an aged domain would, Unless of course you want to age it....

The reason being is that an aged site has authority over the new site simply because its older, so search engines respect them more. A new site still has to prove to the SE that it is honest, not being spammy, and not using all sorts of manipulation software to claw its way to the top.

one SEO expert told that its better to choose a domain with keywords and its easy to rank when the domain is new, but for older sites, 1 + years old, maybe domain name is not much important. However people say different things about this, but I believe for a new domain, it has some advantage if some keywords in it.

I have seen some success using .info keyword domains as feeder or doorway pages to a couple of my main sites. For a low competition long tail keyword they will rank almost immediately. I put up a page with some info specific to the keyword and link to the main site for more information. It has always been good for a few extra hits to the main sites.

I had done this when my awareness of SEO was very limited. There were no backlinks or offpage SEO of any kind used with these sites.

yea, with exact domain match, its not difficult to get page one high rankings for long tail none competitive keywords. I've seen many examples for that.
