Thread: How important is a website html code validation?

How important is a website html code validation? Is it so important that we need to pass the validation or is it fine if we have some errors? what does you guys think?

For me it depends on the errors. I prefer that all code that I write is valid, both HTML and CSS. Web pages often include code from third parties and that code is often out of my control. Google code often has thrown validation errors. I use a comment script that was written in XHTML. If I use that script in one of my HTML pages there are validation errors, but HTML5 takes care of that problem by allowing mixed code.

Modern browsers are quite tolerant of minor coding errors that cause validation errors. If the listed validation errors are in third party code and do not cause display issues I do not worry about those errors.

In my view HTML code validation have least any value now a days. If W3C validation is there then it is considered as a professional site in the past. Now a days we have many advancements in the technology so we are using new browsers like chrome and in mobiles also we have many new features so in this new browsers the HTML code will be shown with out any errors. Major search engines like Google Bing is not considering the HTML validations. So HTML validation is least considering these days.

may be that such quavers can visualizarlo well, but if you see it with iexplorer
see a disaster layout

too much nesting depth of div
the different classes or call javascript functions with the same name
not the good clarity of styles (create a legacy wrong)
etc

also the improper operation of tables and advise better to use divs
or new structures HTML5

the web you can find many tools of control to validate the code

HTML coding is too important because without html coding you cannot make website even in any language.

Thanks for the responses to everyone I am also following the same thing, if it is having some visual or parsing error, then only I like to look into this else I never bother about validating html because there is a lot of restrictions on them.

You are not able to create a website without html coding.
