Is this process still works in search engine optimization ?

Blog commenting is still considered as an effective technique of SEO for building quality backlinks as well as for increasing website traffic.

Definitely a YES, Blog Commenting when done right works. To be truly successful with blog commenting what you should do is to give valuable comment and from that you'll not just got link but as well build your expertise in the field.

Blog commenting is still working well for me. I use it mainly for 2nd and 3rd tier linking but still really effective. I do not like spammy comments though and try to add to the conversation or pay someone extra to do this for me. I'm not a big fan of mass linking comments to a money site though, just my opinion.

but what the main thing is your backlink should come from niche website ..

for example this is web and seo and tech related forum so i am putting my website as signature because it is relavant ..

so if you have natural, relavant and niche backlinks than it will surely works for you ...

blog commenting still works, just make it sure to comment on the blogs that is related to the website that you are promoting.

its alway working till you are getting backlinks from niche blogs and niche posts .. its a good idea to do so which gives you good traffic and referral also

Blog commenting does work provided you do it well. You need to search for niche related post or blogs to comment on. And also write good and relevant comment.

Those do work in many ways. If those are authority blogs with thousands of readers then you can get direct traffic from those links and I would link to my money sites. but for those blog comming gigs you can buy from Fiverr etc would be nice for 2Teir or better for 3teir.

Blog commenting effect one's blog in many ways. you can easily got traffic by commenting on high PR pages!

High PR or not, I just comment on every blog I find. It drives traffic to my blog and at least it increases the viewers if not passing the link juice. I think blog commenting is the best way to get traffic to your site. But the quality and relevance compliments a lot. Simply spamming the comments section would not favor you in anyway and people would just skip over your comment and read someone else's.

YES, it is important. That will give a good boost. I made good expirience with that in past. You can bring your traffic with this way from some good sites and people are coming to you. easy and powerfull way.

When I find a niche blog related to my site I use long term approach. I use same Name and email for all blog comments and register if they have the option. I use good lengthy comments for couple of posts without putting any links. if owner approve my first post I would keep doing for this for once a week sometimes creating discussions on comments. After few weeks u become a known name and valuable visitor and owner tend to put blind eye for your links. A slow process but it works.

Exactly my approach. I also follow the same method for my niche. But When it comes to commenting on some unrelated sites, I am still cautious but not as much. Luckily I was never banned from any blog but from one. I actually highlighted a flaw in the post and the admin wasn't easy with critics. So she simply banned me from it and then I dropped it out from my list.

I think blog commenting is still working. Cause you can put a link on your comment.

Blog commenting, has put 2 of my blogs on the first page of google within the last month. I had turned the commenting off when I first wrote the blog several months ago and was constantly ranking on page 4. Now I have (2) seperate blogs on page 1 of google. Commenting is a great way to show relevance in my opinion.

It's getting harder because these days owners of good blogs with bigger traffic flowers turn to Disqus as comment system. Good way to get rid of all automated spam comments but its bad for those who do comment and try to "earn" a link back.
