I use Vagex not to make money but to promote my videos and even sell views from it from time to time. The selling views can get a little tricky and I don't rely only on vagex I have quite a few other much better sources but it's good to have

It seems to be a great method for those who are completely new to the IM world. Any way to scale it up?

If you can run some virtual machines with different Ips you might have a way of scaling it up, but is it worth the effort?
This is still a good way of getting views on your videos though.
Your better off growing a twitter account and using some make money with twitter sites.

I will have to see how this works, seems alright though it would probably just pay for the electricity my office uses per month, better than nothing

My computers have run 24/7/365 for several years at 100% load contributing to some distributed computing projects. I take nearly all meals at home, have an electric water heater and laundry facilities as well as electric stove, microwave and refrigerator and my electric bill last month was around $25 US. I do not air condition but run three fans 24/7. I generally cook with the oven once or twice a week and nuke food the rest of the time. I do live alone.

I don't do the mentioned plan, but I could without any extra expense.

Not to hijack the thread, but I get what you're saying about the electric and you're right, it would take what, maybe an extra dollar or two to run the computers? I live with my husband, we both have computers running 24/7 (his is a plugged in laptop, mine a PC) and we have 3 ACs running constantly, an electric washer and dryer used twice a week, plus the usual nuker and stove used daily plus his medical equipment (he's disabled). We pay approximately $80 per month for electric. I shut both computers down for almost a month a year ago when hubby was hospitalized and there was no noticeable difference in the electric bill the following month.

However, one thing I'd like to say about the video service... I checked out the site and it states specifically that you are exchanging views for views, not money. They will buy back credits, but its not designed for that. It states specifically that:

Vagex is a view exchange site which will expose your video to thousands of members in order to increase the view count. With our system, YouTube will see all the views your videos are getting and promote it even more, having a sort of viral effect.

This system is entirely free, just run the Viewer and stack up those credits! Also if you don't like viewing other people's videos, we give you the option to purchase more credits or become an upgraded member.

We will even buy back any unused credits you dont want! So what are you waiting for? Sign Up and start your Vagex Adventure Today!
It doesn't say anything about getting paid other than buying back credits. Has anyone actually been paid?

I did this for a bit, not to bad but I do not like running my computer all the time

Firm believer of shutting down and cooling down to let components rest, but my computer is a dedicated workstation for photography (and hardcore gaming )

The process are looking so time consuming. I suggest micro jobs. You can make $20 per month doing micro jobs. Just register in microworkers.com for free and everyday just do some micro jobs spending 20 to 30 min. After month you will able to manage at least $20.

I agree, micro jobs are good, open lots of accounts on all the micro job sites out there and you will get some decent revenue.
