Well well, I started my IM career with article writing and I used to charge less than this because I was unaware of the prices and I had to make some quick bucks

Now, I charge more than this from client for rewriting articles Because quality pays.

But still I bet you can find good writers at this rate.

$1.50-$2/500 words for good articles is probably the best you can get today.. but if the writer is good, you can be sure he will know about he is undercharging sooner or later and still raise his prices after a while...

$2 per 250 word article ain't bad. We may feel undercharged but the competition with article writing is so stiff that we cannot post prices justifiable to our efforts. This is an opportunity for people who loves to outsource their work to us. But this won't be going forever, we will be increasing our prices in a months time. We could not cope up with our labor, electric, and internet bills anymore. :-)
