Agree. SemRush has made a ton of improvements lately - particularly in providing much more recent, real-time data and better At-A-Glance charts of keyword driven traffic levels. (Remember, SEMRush only charts *RANKING KEYWORD* traffic for sites from either Google or Bing - it's not an overall total traffic graph from all sources..)

One thing you'll notice is how SO MANY sites have lost major keywords in the Top 20 of SERPS since Penguin / Panda. Really gives you a sense of how broad and severe these algos have impacted broad swaths of the internet. (Look at IMTalk's chart for an example)

SEMRush is also revealing something rather interesting about keyword losses of your - or a competitors site: Often the only remaining ranking keywords are BRAND keywords - or very low traffic long-tail keywords with only a few searches per month.

depends how you was building the keywords.... if you use not any anchor text before, you was getting punished by the latest update as well.
many people use they good keywords and made a small mistake by link building, so they got punished and lost they good ranking with they good keywords.

    hope this explaining helps you

How do you use SEMRush to spy your competitors and why do you need to do it? I think the time you use to spy your competitors, you should give that time to build your own high quality backlinks and that will you to the top of the competition.
