If you have cpanel hosting you probably have AWStats and maybe Webalizer available on your server/hosting space.

Other than Google Analytics there are many other tools such as VisiStat, eWebAnalytics, W3counter, Pagealizer and Yahoo Web analytics. which helps to monitor/track website traffic.

I have to say that, despite the alternatives listed above, I still wouldn't look any further than Analytics for most purposes.
