Thread: My site was hit hard by google changes yesterday !

Last year in october my visitors dropped 70% from the google search changes, after hard work I was able to get back almost the same number of visitors coming from google searches, but yesterday google did it again.
Now my site have 60-70% less visitors than last week.

I really don't understand their policy, but I did not make any SEO tricks with this site, just posted regular, unique content.

This frequent google search algorithm changes starts to go wrong and I am tired of creating manual content and then get kicked by google.

It is very true that Google is not a reliable source of traffic anymore because of its 'webmaster targeted' updates. I would advice you to diversify your traffic sources, so that you won't hurt much even if you get hit next time.

I know, but it's very hard to get thousands of visitors / day from other sources.

Yes we must update day by day and follow the rules of the Google. Just do not spam and quality work matter so just do the quality work and never use irrelevant links and link exchange.

What is your website? My website only rises and the traffic grows. Are you sure you haven't made any SEO mistakes? Backlinks, content?

Don't stay stuck with Google. No point. I'm working on getting traffic from other sources specially from social sites.

Remember Don't Just Trust On Google To Get Traffic,Always Try To Get Traffic From Different Source Like Facebook,Twitter,Google+,Pinterest And Bing,Yahoo So No.
Try To Increase Your FACEBOOK Like,TWITTER Follower,GOOGLE+ And So No,Always Try To Get Real Likes,Follower They Will Help To Generate Traffic,Fake Will Not Help You.

You Have Just 329 Facebook Likes,Try To Increase AtLeast To 5000+ Real Likes,This Will Help You To Get Some Around 1000+ Traffic Daily. Remember Make AtLeast 1+ Post On Your Facebook Page.
Also Do The Same For Twitter,Pinterest,Google+.
Remember Always Try To Get Targeted And Real Likes,Follower An So On.
Most Important Thing Quality Matter Not Quantity

Joint Various Facebook Group/Blog/Forum Related To Your Nice,Start Discussion About Your Website,Or Make A New Facebook Group Related To Your Nice ,Invite People To Joint Your Group.

By This You Will Generate Good Traffic.

I had 3000 visitors / day, now it dropped to 700, in december I have ordered a pack of extreme wikis from this forum (just for test), it may be one of the cause. Otherwise I don't spam with links.

hmmm I'm not too sure about that. many members here use the wiki tools and have had nothing but good reviews. Have you read through the tutorials on the forum that shows you how to use the tool in conjunction with other IMT tools? You're also in a reasonably competitive niche. I know I search for textures on a regular basis, and that's just for my art. But with the amount of other photo manipulators out there, you can imagine that there will be a lot of other sites with images that can be used by them.

Yes, I have read and used bookmarks too, but it did not help much.

Some of my websites were hit too.

I really doubt that 30 wikis can ruin a websites SERPs, then one can use this tool to "exterminate" all its competitors,
that said you didn't quite followed the tutorial(many anchors with your main keywords and no generic keywords at all).
Anyhow I'm 99% sure that these links are not your problem.

better focus much on social media to generate more traffic and your blog ...

Posting regular unique content is a waste of time...

Build backlinks those tell Google your site is good because backlinks act like a recommendation from one site to another...

Panda's and other animals will effect any website that focuses on the wrong things like adding "unique content"...

Your anchor text diversity is horrible. "free backgrounds and textures" as a site-wide template footer link at quotestemple(dot)com is probably hurting more than helping.

Also the Amazon affiliate widget on the home page may be toxic. Maybe on some inner-pages might be okay, but I'm convinced the mere presence of an Amazon aff link instantly makes a site harder to rank.

I'd check the e if I were you and see what specific updates were rolled out around the time you had problems.
