Thread: Another Panda Update Yesterday ?

It seems Google has rolled out another panda update yesterday....

One of my site (highest earner) was hit yesterday. It was on first page of google for around 200 Long tail keywords related to each other. But suddenly it disappeared from top 100 results for almost all 200 Keywords, in fact it is on 5-6th page for 2-3 Keywords out of those.

This site has survived all the panda updates till yesterday and I had increasing Traffic day by day till yesterday, moreover I have not done any link building for this site in last 1 year or so... Whatever hit it yesterday, it is really not good, now I see lot of spammy sites on top 2 pages for almost all of these keywords.

seemed for a while maybe your website is under, because the crushed fresh website content Spam, aka after checking google, and issued a SERP returned as before, this is called dancing google ..

to keep your website SERP, still consider innerlink every article on your website .. IMHO

I'm not aware of any panda update, my site has the same ranking factors. I guess there might be some other issue maybe someone reported it as malicious purpose? Asking Google is a complete waste of time, it never replies to your queries.

Well it is a wordpress based blog, inner linking etc wordpress takes care himself.

Moreover My article is still best, among other top ranking sites for that particular keyword.

I have less than 50% Bounce rate, and more than 10 minute of "On Site time" for that particular page so far, that is enough to tell that it was a quality article.

Moreover I add fresh pages at least twice every week

When Google is changing the Algorhitm... they will tell it to all people at Google Webmaster Forum...

I already checked that, and it seems there are few people who experienced traffic drop at the same time I did...

Though Google has not announced anything yet but definitely something changed sometime yesterday, otherwise they won't experience same thing I did

Moreover google is known to announce big changes but not small updates...

Till date we had about 8 Panda updates and only 3 were pre notified..

Lucky me! There is no of my blogs affected by the latest Google Panda update. I always keep my blogs updated daily with original content and only searching for quality backlink only.

But I’m sorry to hear your case. Google absolutely do this for a reason and that’s why you need to introspect if there’s any mistake you’ve made on your blog. If you’re keeping with Google rules, I’m sure in no time your blog will be strong again on SERP. Cheer up!

Are you following Alexa for the data? Recently I've seen a big drop in my Alexa rankings but not the misplacement of my site in Google.

I think there's no relation between Alexa and Google result since they're two different company
However I understand about your confusion. Alexa is depend on traffic, how can the traffic dropped if your site isn't affected by latest update...

I had this penomenon affecting several sites since the first panda update, last time in November, now again, but the sites always came back even stronger. Looks like Google first grabs the big baseball bat and then the sites that qualify as "collateral damage" slowly recover again.

I hope you are right ? My Site has recovered few times as well, but this time damage is too much, It has disappeared from all search results which never happened before.

Guess I offended you, can a person not ask what's on his mind? or are you just trying to be the boss here? I don't care for post counts and I'm not interested in it also . That's right they are somehow inter-related, but my PR is the same as it used to be and my site still is in the same spot on page one for my targeted keywords yet has dropped to a full thousand. I don't know what's the case with Alexa.

To clear what you thinking there is no relation in google ranking and alexa rank..

Alexa rank is purely based on traffic. and shows how many more site are there having traffic more than you, it does not compare based on keyword or niche. All it compares is traffic and location of visitors. Your alexa rank may drop even if your traffic is not dropping this is because other sites which had less traffic than you are now getting more traffic or Vice versa may happen.



Whereas Google ranks are based on Keywords. I might be ranking #1 for a keyword which is very important to me and send hardly 10 visitors a day In this case I will not have alexa rank and I do not damm care about it. Look at many Real estate agent site, they hardly get 100 Users per day but make a Good amount of money, may be even more than an adsense site having 10000 visitors a day.

So When we talking about Google rank, talking about alexa rank is obviously off topic by miles. If you know the difference between 2 you will not mention hence it was considered as "Post for increasing post count"

Thanks for explaining in detail. :-) Peace from me too. Just your words saying I want post counts made me lose control. It sounded you labeled me a spammer which I'm not. :-)
