Thread: SEO for a new Social Media website

My company has created a new social media website and they want me to do SEO for it. Its a very big budget project.
Right now i,m totally clueless on what to do.
Till now i did Local SEO and International SEO for products and services and online stores but social media website is totally different.

So what should i do, from where should i start?
After on Page SEO, what Off Resources should i use?

I have a idea: create some web2.0 blogs (like blogspot, wordpress), and post your sites on web2.0. make title: auto approve dofollow social bookmarking sites. Every seo guys find new social sites on google using this type of keyword. I think you understand.

Definitely, using other social media sites to get traffic to your own site is a great way to promote your site, and if its a very big budget project, paid advertisement will help out a lot as well.
