A suggestion about blogs and forums.

I have said before that I am part of other forums, but I have been thinking about how we might be able to boost the reputation as well as the standing on Imtalk. One forum in particular does this and it has helped increase its rank beautifully as well as boost its popularity and reputation.

Does Imtalk have a blog? and if not, would you think that having a blog on IMtalk is a good idea? Where you would address IM related news. I know that there are millions of other IM blogs out there, I find them in my research daily. But with the reputation IMtalk already has, it could be a good platform to start off from. It can even serve as a means to interact with the community further by allowing guest bloggers, if they have writing skills and if they are quality members. It might be another way to get the less talkative community members talking, and get new members on board at the same time. They could be rewarded with one link in a resource box, similar to what you would get if you submitted articles.

Just a thought I have been thinking about it for a few days now, and I think it has some merit. What do you guys think?

Yes, you have thought a good point. Digitalpoint,webhostingtalk,v7nforum has blog. It will be great if admin open a blog in this forum.
