How do you develop a new forum

If you have any forum then how did you developed it?

Do you do link building for that or you use paid forum posters for that?

You can use forum softwares like vBulletin, PHPBB, SMF and many more to develop a Forum. Manual link building is best to for forum backlinking.

dude, at the present, if you really have no big idea/plans about a forum, don't go for it. 90% of online forums fail. You can find lot of examples for that. And forum maintaining is also not easy. However if you want a forum, use vbulletin as the forum software, find a good niche and then collect some people to make discussions. While doing that, u need some SEO.

well i agree with rain22.

if you do a search in the internet, you will find many forums fail. there are many reasons for that and maintaining a forum properly from spammers is really a very tough job.

the 1st thing that you need to do is select your niche (forum topic) after that you can get a forum script like vBulletin, and then you also need to have a group of people to do proper discussion in the forum. and last but not the least to do SEO.

if you are able to get high amount of quality traffic in your forum then it will really great.

I think forum building might be the most skill-required project an online developer can take on. It's also a goal worth working for. Pray, study & think, and you might find some insight to what it would take you to get the thing off the ground.

Or, be the first in an untapped nich and make sure your infrastructure is ready for the needs of interested people. If your broke, I recommend starting out with a free forum such as phpBB, and as soon as you are confident or have a established community, change over to vbulletin.
