Thread: Do follow profile backlinks from PR 6, 7 and 8 sites

Here is a very short list of high PR sites that allow you to get do follow profile backlinks. The profiles are customizable so you can add content with keywords related to your links making the profile pages more relevant and adding more quality to your backlinks.

GoLoco (PR 6)
http://identi.ca (PR 7)
Webjam (PR 6)
TED: Ideas worth spreading (PR 8)

identi.ca and Webjam bot worked fine for me.. the other 2 weren't so great (TED seemed to have problems to add any URL - which I tried on various browsers!)

They all worked fine for me in Google Chrome. I will make a mini guide for exactly what I did to get backlinks and customize my profile on those 2 sites...

GoLoco...

1. Sign in/Sign up then sign in.

2. Around the top left corner you should see "My Profile" and "Edit". Click on "Edit".

3. You will notice on the left side, there are 2 places to enter 2 different urls for "My Website" and "My Blog".

4. On the right side you can enter information for "Language I speak", "My favorite Music" and "My Interests".

5. After you are finished entering info, click on the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the screen and you are done. You should be seeing your public profile now.

TED...

1. Sign in/Sign up then sign in.

2. Click on "My Profile" which can be seen at the top right corner.

3. Under the main header of the site at the top you should see "Your Profile" and your name next to it. Under that is a menu for your profile. The last link on the right is "Edit Profile". Click on that.

4. Before you do anything on this page, notice at the top under "Preferences" it asks you "Who can see this page?". Make sure you click on "Everyone" so Google bot can see it, crawl it and index it.

5. Scroll down and you will notice at the bottom left hand side "Website Links". You can create 3 links total with anchor text. The "Name of Website" input box is for your keyword/anchor text, and the "URL for Website" input box is for your url. Beside the latter input box should be a button to add the link. Everywhere else on the page is for information you can enter about yourself. You can see "Bio" and "I'm passionate about" on the right side near the top of the page.

6. After you are done, click on one of the "Save Profile" buttons which can be found 3 times on the right side of the page. You should see at the top of the page under the site's header a message in a gray bar that says, "Updates to your profile has been saved". Click on "My Profile" and you should be looking at your publicly viewable profile page.

Thanks Aaron, much appreciated! I made a bit of a school boy error on the TED site it would seem.. I didn't see the Title above it - no wonder it wouldn't let me submit! D'OH!!!!

I will give least priority to the profile links. Only with active participation, profile link helps to drive traffic and improves search engine ranking.

Thanks for the link here. You are allowed to submit up to three websites using TED and can be anchor linked. Very powerful link here from a respected website.

can any one share list of these type of forums?

You can make the back link from high pr sites by exchanging link or other methods like purchasing.
