Thread: What is the meaning of Keyword Density?

I think that Google considers this for spam. Before a year or two, it may helped a lot, but rules change every day. Be natural in you content, instead of this I try to bold the important words both for visitors and google and it works!

Not really. Its only really spam if there are too many keywords on a page and the content doesn't "read" properly.

Keyword density is a measurement of using keywords in the content.. Number of keywords used within a page out of total number of words used in that page. Preferable keyword density is 2-3%..

((keyword count*no. of words in a keyword)/ total word count) * 100) Keyword density should not be more than 3%. If your keyword consist 3 words and it comes 4 times in a 300 word article then the keyword density would be ((3*4)/300) * 100) = 4%.

The Keyword density is refer to percentage of keyword contained within the index able word of the web page.

Agree with you ... If the page is stuffed with keywords, it is definitely considered SPAM
