How can I get my domain free of cost?

If you are talking about TLDs then you can't. Because Domain registries don't give those for free.

01. you can find a domain from contests and forum postings. Frihost forum has something like that.
02. Sometimes people give away domains they don't want anymore. But usually those are near to expire
03. You can get a sub domain like cc.co or .tk
04. You can Do work for another webmaster and ask them to register the domain you want as your fee.

If you want to use free domain then you can choice blogger.com without any confusion.

You can do search on Google for hosting services that offer free domain registration, but "free" things usually come with some disadvantages.

I advise you to choose cheap domain rather than free ones because i did it and due to lot of disadvantages because it was not very effective becaus there wasno waranty

take around for domain registrars.. sometimes they offer $0.99 for .com/.net.org (ain't it a little bit free)

You can register cheap .us domain. Only for $3,99. Or go to blogger or wordpress and open as much blogs as you want

Well, there are several ways to get a free domain:

- Ask someone to give it to you as a gift during the holidays or something
- Many web hosting providers will provide a free domain name when you purchase hosting
- use co.cc
- use free wordpress.com or blogspot.com blogs
- shorturl.com
