Thread: Kindle eBook Publishing?!

Has anyone tried Kindle eBook publishing? I have sat in on a Webinar and the potential for an alternate income stream seems interesting. I just received information about a blog post about an experiment in Kindle publishing with some interesting information and an analysis of the potential of Kindle publishing. It is a guest post on a copywriter's blog. The copywriter had participated in the experiment and invited his readers to participate as well. This seems to be an area in which some of our content writers, in particular, may find of interest. I have been tempted to try it, and the results show a good analysis of the potential. There is at least one Kindle publishing millionaire!

There is at least one other venue that the content can be published, the Nook Bookstore from Barns & Noble.

Do you think that it would be worth a try??

I've also heard about this, but didn't have the time to look into it.

Perhaps even publishing public domain content could work with Kindle store, I'm not sure. But it would be easy money if so, I guess.

Kindle has filters for public domain material and PLR needs to be rewritten, but there are some shortcuts that can be used. I watched another webinar on Amazon publishing last evening and discovered that you can self-publish books using another Amazon service. They promote the books and, through the miracle of modern technology, print them on order and ship within 24 hours. The prices are higher for the printed versions so the payments are better. The presenter told of one book with a very simple interview format for which the author had received one check for $100,000.00. Conversations with Millionaires was the title. That is done through an Amazon arm called CreateSpace.
