Thread: IMTalk getting not much popular these days !!

I have seen that these days IMTalk is not much popular and there are very less new topics and posts being made. I would ask Nemaja. Why so ? I would request him to make another free IM Tool to make more popular and make it available only to registered users and make some gifts/prizes for active users to get more active users. Hope my idea helps. But the forum lonely doesn't really looks good.

All I know is... Imtalk is very new on the net
and nemanja dont have time to do much seo for this forum cause he's working on his tools (bug fixing)

Im shure he is creating new tools..

But everybody can say thanks to admin by promoting this forum!

And after a day or two you are giving me tips and suggestions:

One wise man said, "Don't create forum if there is no need for one".

It is very hard to start new forum in any niche especially in IM and SEO niche and make it popular in few months.
I'm very happy with this forum growth and progress made in these few months since it is online and working, forum true start was something near 15/09/2010...
Also, this is not only a forum...
Forum is not something that is made overnight, every big board is at least few years online, this is something that need patience and time..
I urge you to make new IM /SEO forum and will see where you will be in few months...?
I believe I have enough IM and SEO experience to successfully run my own forum.

I dunno, things are looking UP! for IMTalk - Traffic up significantly - especially since the new year.

And I also believe that you are a great IMarketer and Admin too.
But still don't you think that some time 20 visitors and sometime 2000 visitors.
I was just telling do something to make more active users.
As, I have seen that mostly are guests which can't post.
If there would be more registered users, there will be more posts and more activeness.

I have never heard of you or your SEO/IM accomplishments/references and still your are here, bashing threads, posting stupid and unresearched claims and giving unwanted advices...

It would be OK if you where speaking from your (big) IM /SEO experience, then you could say something like this:
"I'm XY and I'm the owner/founder of XY I have good experience in forum planning/organization/promotion/management/SEO/etc. and website promotion in general, you can check my previous and current works/websites/forums here or there.
I have done this on my forum and than gave me this amount of visitors/posts/threads/profits/etc., so you can do this also on your forum to boost this or that"

I tell you what:
From now on you take care of your own forum and let me take care of my forum the best way I can.

People will come over time. I think the perceived lack of activity is partly due to Nemanja weeding out the spam comments, and I welcome that.

I would rather keep the community more "exclusive" as it were. Being wildly popular is not an indication of the quality of a forum - look at DP and WF

I haven't had the time to get to all 3 of my forums, things have been hectic, but I still come here almost daily to see what is what. I agree with Riba though. Spammers definitely pull a forum down badly, and anything done to weed them out is a plus, because it shows that the people care about the community and are keeping it as clean as they can.

I wouldn't worry too much about people like this asking what's happening to the forum. Its still going and going well. If we had to live by the assumptions of others we'd get nowhere. This is a good forum and I for one will support it by any means necessary. It IS hard to start and maintain a forum. believe me, I have tried. SO, I would tip my hat to Nemanja and all the good he and his team of moderators has accomplished here, and not wonder why the forum isn't as popular as you'd like it to be.

I am just a webmaster yet. But would be something very soon in the future.

Just a person who developed few tools and a forum which gets around 50 visitors online everytime.

Was just giving feedback and suggestion, but the heck you are getting on me.
This is the difference between Shawn and you.
Just see there are negative reviews about DP too but he doesn't acts like this when there are negative reviews.

Thought in the past that, I will be an active and helpful member here. But don't think so now.

Bit confused in this. If you compare Nemanja and Shawn, IMTalk and Digital Point forums, there are lot of difference to mention here. DP is 6 years old and IMT is 6 months old. Do you mean all of the forum admin must be like Shawn and forums will be popular like DP? As you told you are a webmaster, you must know that how hard/easy is to promote your project/service/website.

I assume there were not much IM and SEO forum at the time of forums like DP and WF. Most of the people register at same forum and it have been popular since it establish. But now a days IM and SEO forums is more developed.

Just patience is key here. Wait and watch.

DOnt know - but im new here and found a wealth of info and great tools so far. I even went for the supercharged links and am very happy i did.

I check back daily and theres always new posts, threads. Ive been around the net and forums a good long time and this one will get much bigger over time...

Posters who post, posts without considering what theyre posting, post non-sense.....

At least the Admin is keeping the spam off the forum. There are some nice tools on this site, too. I'll be checking those out when I get more time.

i'm new here, and i've join some IM & SEO forum. But, almost every days i always visit this forum. You know what ? because i've found something different in this forum. Especially IMT Tools. To be honest, I first came to this forum as a thread in the Indonesian forum who introduced this forum with IMT Tools. I never share someting useful for this forum because i'm new in IN & SEO and of course i have bad english.Today, i'm here not just for that tools, there is so many informations and knowledge that i can learn and some spammer of course. One thing that i must say is "Thank you Nemanja"

I Know build a forum is not easy, i have capoeira forum for local capoeira community in Indonesia few years ago and you know what ? the visitors just the same people. Today, i dont know what happen with my capoeira forum. Please, let us appreciate the effort and hard work of others that aim to help others. (translated by google)
