This post is just to keep the timeline history in tact since Unique1 beat me to the punch in breaking the news - 22,000 strong as of this morning. I had to go set up the PA for the Daytona Spring MotorCycle Rally. The bikes have been in town since last Friday, but I work the four big days of the event at an old biker venue - White Eagle Lounge I'll be having some fun, but the camera is broke down so no pics this time.

I was wondering if you going to share some nice bike pics from those events...

Unfortunately my Canon S2-IS has been afflicted with a problem that they had with that model. The repair from Canon is about $165 and with the advancements in technology I can buy more camera for just a little bit more money than getting this one fixed. That has to wait until I catch up from my slow season that is now coming to a close. The really flashy (custom) bikes don't often come out to this venue, but there is usually some good vintage iron around. There are several galleries of pictures on my site: http://mc-rally.com/ A lot of custom paint and artwork on motorcycles as well as some of the flashy and vintage iron I have seen out there on the road.

The Bikini contest would offer some great photo ops though. The entrants are really mostly young models that the promoter brings in and the bikinis often could hide behind a commemorative postage stamp. $2000.00 in cash prizes brings out some of the best. I am forced by duty (operating the sound system) to stand next to the stair by which the girls climb to the stage, so I have a ringside spot.

Yea, 22,222. I think that number will double or triple in the next few years

Great................. Landmarks are now creating on Monthy Basis.

By the time I saw the number the flags were already waving! The growth rate is actually a bit slower than in the last few months, but that may mark the return of more pleasant weather to some of the northern hemisphere. I have noticed that pattern in some other Internet related things.

I knew that this tick was going to happen while I was away and meant to ask that someone post the event, so thanks!!

The registration page was a busy place through my sleep period with a new member signing up roughly every 20 minutes. This surge clicked the counter past the 25,000 mark.

In one of my previous markers I expressed the hope that we would reach the 30 thousand mark by the second anniversary. It appears that we will fall a bit short of that goal, but the growth rate is steady and the forum has come a long way in the relatively short time that it has been online. If you pay attention to the numbers often listed at the bottom of the index page you will see that few forums reach 25,000 members and most of those that do attain that level have been around much longer than two years.
