Thread: .co.cc

Google have kicked out .CO.CC domains from search results. Have you guys notice this?? Is this the penalty or what??

I read the last google message in my adsense dashboard. It said that google see the free domain like co.cc as a spammer. So, since last day, kicked or banned all co.cc from their system. Google also plan to do same thing with another free domain like wordpress.com or another similar like wordpress, if wordpress do not filter their own users.

is that true?? wordpress.com gonna be banned from the system? so are they just protect their own platform which is blogger.com?

Well They are pretty strict about blogger content. They delete anyone they find there is even little evidence of spamming. Like if Bookmarking or other site report a blogger blog they check backlinks and if there are too many backlinks form Bookmarking sites your blog is good as dead.

I guess they trying to kill link pyramids which use these free sub-domains massively.

Wordpress is more popular then Blogger in many ways. I can't see Google deliberately shutting every blog on Wordpress, just like Blogger. They would probably weed out the spammers and make sure that wordpress sets up better rules, just as they did with Blogger.

I know, and I still stick with what I said though. Blogger hasn't shut down completely, because I can still read blogger blogs. Its the same with WP. not every free blog out there is a direct violation. So maybe they will only target the low content ones or blogs that don't get used often.

Blogger belongs to Google and They do have very strict content policy. They have removed like 5-10 blogs which they belive spam or use spam technique to promote. Wordpress.com it self has to clean the house or Google might index all sites which use sub domains of wordpress.com.

It's not about shuting down blog networks. Google can't do it and they don't need to. Only they have to do is ban the main domain from their search.
