I just want to know if these two terms are the same. Which one is better to be used for monetizing a website. If I am not wrong for adwords you need to pay. Correct me if I am wrong.

But how about "monetizing keyword". What is it related to? And if I want to monetize my website, then I need to go for adsense.

For monetizing website you need to go to adsense then.
Ok when I am done with the website then will go for getting some traffic to the website first. Then will add adsense.
Adsense and Adwords are two sides of the same coin.
Adwords are ads placed with Google and paid for on a cost per click basis.
Adsense shows those ads through the Google content network - the ads seen on participating publisher's websites as well as the paid results at the top and to the right in the search results.
While Adsense is generally agreed to be the best PPC program it is not the only way to monetize a site. There are several other methods and it is often recommended to have multiple income streams from your site. Affiliate marketing can be very profitable if you choose products to promote wisely. You can also produce (or outsource) and sell your own products or services on your site.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the Adsense or Adwords. Internet has changed a lot. People got tired of websites having too many ads, and installed Ad-blockers (me included). Now website owners are looking for new ways to make their sites profitable. Lately Adsense went to same route as most of the websites, and started to include new and bigger ad units. That's a dead end. Adsense pays my hosting bills etc, but it's nowhere near my main income source.
As for Adwords. I still think it's better than Facebook ads, you get more bang for your buck. Yeah, Adwords doesn't help you much on social media.
Hi,
I consider Adwords a great way for promoting and advertising your websites. Rather than promoting is social networking sites , you can take help from Google Adwords.
adword is PPC tool that provide PPC service.
adsense is aearning tool that provide ads on your website or blog.
Adwords is a PPC advertising platform for driving traffic. Adsense however, is what you can use to monetise your website with adverts and text links. Two entirely different things.
