It would be awesome to have an intro post for new people to explain point system to them after (or before) they register somewhere in Forum Rules section.
I also have a question:
I'm new (as you figured). Should I worry about my profile Daily, Weekly, and Monthly activity percentages?
Can I be considered as spam if I have certain (high) percentages there?

It is all explained in "Forum Rules, News & Announcement" section in sticky posts(just next to the forum rules), I think that it is enough...
I can force new members to read forum rules or certain posts, but that would be harsh(I think), unless you(I mean forum members) think that would be OK, I'm open to suggestions as you know
NO, it won't be considered as a spam, the point is to have as much points as you can have and get eventually in to the higher members levels, to get (soon to be announced) awards, achievements, win contests, etc, etc....Free Tool:

I actually went searching in the FAQ and rules for information on the progress points and found nothing. I think you should make it more prominent on signup/after joining.
