Honesty is the best policy. If you can lead a honest life must you will be rewarded any of time in future for sure
There is also Sony Vegas, and Camtasia. Either of which would do what Adobe does, and maybe more. There is also lightworks as well. I guess in the end it depends on what it is that you want to do that counts and how much you are willing to pay for it.

I heard a lot about Camtasia .... but never got a chance to use it as I am not that interested in video editing, instead I prefer outsourcing it.
Camtasia would be the best to start out with. I have used it, and it's pretty good, Vegas is a cool toy to play around with, as I did for a while, but then went back to camtasia as it was easier to work with.

I don't really have one I haven't used it before. Many have said that its a great program though, I was just too happy with camtasia at that point to change.

First its depend on your work, then we can choose a relevant software. But i have experience in Adob after effect, its too good for video and audio editing.
for me
sony vegas is the best

Adobe Premiere to begin with, then Adobe After Effects and then go for the Foundry Nuke
