I don't see any site specific problems, in fact, I think that the site looks good. I suspect that your problem is locational/demographic in nature.

As far as Adsense you could try to attract visitors from the Indian communities in the US/UK markets if most of your traffic is from India and that region. You might also try some affiliate programs that are targeted to your current visitors. Fashion, jewelry, and accessories might be viable affiliate opportunities for your site depending on your visitor demographics.

You should see what keywords people are using to find your site / pages. It seems like the eCPM of the ads being shown is low. This will just depend on the content on your site. For higher ecpm or cpc ads, you have to research keywords with higher cpc values. This can be done with the adwords keyword tool. You may be better off with a traditional display network like valueclick.

While keywords are a part of the equation they are only part, and sometimes a small part. Other variables include location of the visitor, ad inventory, and if signed in to a Google account (like Gmail) recent search/surfing history. To check that just try visiting the site through proxies located in different parts of the world, you will most likely see different ads displayed. As well as location visiting through a proxy will eliminate the history factor. On my sites with international visitors, visitors from the Asia generally produce low paying clicks when they click on Google ads.
