    Frequency of content change

Is it bad to ranking or index if the content is always changed or frequently change? is there any limit for frequency of content change?

I always leave done pages for what they are. Google doesn't like it when edit your pages all the time, because on for example wordpress when updating a page, the blog will also send a ping, but for Google the general content is the same. I've had one website drop in rankings because of this. However, adding new pages will work in your advantage...

    New content is always good.

I think there's a wordpress plugin that stops the pings when editing a page.
Don't remember the name, but you'll find it I'm sure...

as far as i'm concern, cbnet optimizer only can be functioned as to narrow down pinging and avoid excessive pinging, but to stop pinging when editing a page maybe need manually work, just need to remove for a while ping list then after finish edit, put back the list

There is no limit to frequency of content change. Infact, newer the better.
Google loves fresh content and more frequent you update your data, more frequently it will be spidered and hence newer cache. Cache files are used to monitor the visiting patterns of a site/page.
Changing content over time has a huge impact over rankings of a page. How often users access the site/page from their browser determines the ‘staleness’ and ‘freshness’ of that site/page.
This ‘freshness’ factor impacts not only indexing but rankings as well. Fresh and valuable content is more preferred over stale content.

Rebecca, maybe you said is true if your content change up to 80% or above, but if just wanna to remove some pictures or just edit sentences, i think it is no good for excessive pinging and tell the SE to index the same content that already been indexed

Its better to stop excessive false duplicate pinging and prevent search engine to index the same content that already been indexed through pinging. But its good to ping whenever the new contents are added.

i agreed, lots of pinging the same content, can make search engine suspect 'something' to your website.. as i said earlier if your content change to much nearly 80-90%, no worry at all about pinging.. because newer contents edited

If the new content on that page is the first thing crawled it's OK, but if the new content is added on the bottom of the page after a long text the crawler won't see it the first time over.

Bots crawl the page from top to bottom. Depending on the programming of the bot they may only look at material above the fold. If your new content is in the first couple of paragraphs it has better chance of being indexed than if it is at the bottom of the page.

Now i understood 100%... thanks a lot winkor, no need for andre to reply my question.. so it is better to put the new content to the first couple paragraph rather than conclusion sentence(bottom of the page)
