Thread: Change SEO in 2011

Hi All,

1. Microsoft will make numerous updates to Bing and strongly integrate a social aspect into this
2. Google will use CTR in their algorithm.
3. The Local Search business will increase and more sites will optimize for local sites.
4. Google will begin to use certain nofollow links for ranking sites.
5. More SEO blog posts will include data analysis.
6. SEO optimization will go beyond mobile and web. It will move to Google TV/Apple TV, videos and audio etc.
7. Microsoft will be more accepted in the SEO World.

I guess, there would be additional techniques and competition will be intense.

Without a doubt, competition will be fierce. More websites, more users, and more competition. SEO will be more important than ever.

Whatever changes there will be, we will all need to keep adapting. The year doesn't make a difference. SE's don't update their algorithms because the year changes, but I get your point and great post, and you seem to be on the right track as far as the changes we can expect this year.

Hey due to these changes are there any effect on previous ranking of the site. And does seo has any future or not.Because if Google take most of the thing out from which seo brings the site upper then what the seo will do.

I agree. There is always a future for SEO. It will just be different. We have to learn to adapt to the changes that is all.

This is no different than what has happened in previous years. When they introduced no follow links, I am sure many people were asking the same thing. Is there a future to SEO?

Yes, we just have to figure out how to improve CTR etc, etc.
