Thread: Monthly searches or competition or both of them?

Hi to all IMTalk members.. I'm still newbies regarding keyword research tool. Hope some members here can help me get the ideas

When i do a keyword research i always use Google Adword Keyword tools.. i don't know how to monetize the tool so as to make sure i get the exact keyword i want..

How do i need to focus more on research? Monthly searches or competition? Means that..

Low competition, high monthly searches OR
Medium competition, medium monthly searches OR any ideas??

is there any easy tutorial that can help me on this?

Ideally you want low competition with high monthly searches.
Assessing competition is the hard bit.

Install SEOQuake plugin for Firefox - set it to show the PR of the search results.
Now search for your target keyword phrase - if the PR of most of the top 10 results is 2 or less, then you should be able to get into the top ten with an exact match domain name and some good onsite optimisation.

initially you need to consider both of them. Use traffic travis and market samurai to do a better research !!
