Thread: Help me to decide niche for my new blog

Hi all,

I created the new site (DigitalBunch.com) a weeks ago. But I'm still in confusion in what niche to blog with it. I want to write in these category in this blog: Internet, Blogging, Technology, SEO, How to tutorials, Social Media and WordPress.

I think this is not the specific niche. I want to make my blog profitable and make money with it. Then problem is, when somebody asks, What is your blog's niche?, what to answer? I can't mention all of these words..

So guys, please help me to find out that exact niche word what should I blog with it.

If I where you and have time on my hands then I will go for this for sure:
"How to tutorials", like technical, seo, IM, blogging tutorials, this way you will learn and become expert in a process and after a while when you will have enough "how to guides"you can sell them or create membership site or what ever.
Remember people are always searching for some guides, I know that I search every day for some "how to"...

Same thing I was thinking. I will post definitely post the helpful tutorials and that is in "How to Guide" category. This is one. Any other category which I can generate more traffic and revenue?

Divide that blog/site into how to categories,
One category would be seo, other IM, other programming, other technical(html, server), etc, you got the point...
One way to earn money is by writting how to guides on backlinks(or what ever) and in the process you review few products which you are affiliated with, that way you will earn your commision.
Soon you will have the option to apply as an affiliate to my network

Same goes for hosting, content writing, design, etc....

Just remember the key is to get your visitors to sign in for your free offers or what ever to get their email, so in the end you will have nice fat list of highly targeted customers ready to buy your or somone else product that you are affiliated with.
Keep in mind this when developing/pannning any site.

Wow! This is deep tips which I have never though of it. Your last point is very helpful. This is one of the great trick to make money. Also, I would love to join your affiliate program and I hope to make some money with it.

So, I am going with "How to Guide" as main category. I'll need some kind of email marketing online software to make sign up system. But I can do it with free service like Feedburner and send the free product automatically in "verify subscription email". That would be great
