What site/software/service do you use to send your Newsletters?

    Hi
I have been using a script called Dada for my newsletters and enjoy the fact that it is easy to use and free but it seems that a lot of my newsletters are going to peoples spam box.

What tools/services do you use to send your newsletters and what are your results in terms of spam?

I checked to see if my mail server is blacklisted anywhere and it isn't so it must be either the content or the tool?

    Thanks for your input.

It's because people don't read newsletters these days. That's why your newsletters start to go on spam folder automatically.

Where do you get the idea that people don't read newsletters ?
They do read them, if the newsletter provides good and valuable information for its targeted prospects. I agree that in the IM/MMO niche people tend to filter or delete most emails, as there's huge competition in that market and people get sick of the same info over and over again. On top of that, most IM'ers using email marketing have no clue what they're doing and won't be able to grow a responsive and valuable list of subscribers.

For the original question of this thread....NEVER use self hosted software for email marketing, for obvious reasons. Hosting providers only allow a limited amount of emails to be sent from your server per day and NOT using an established autoresponder service WILL get your emails marked as spam.

If you want to start email marketing, use an autoresponder service like Aweber or Imnica Mail, because they're white listed everywhere and 99% of your email will be delivered in the inbox...not spam. Besides, using an autoresponder service will only create more trust and credibility with your prospects and subscribers. Building a list the right way can become VERY profitable, but it's extremely hard in the IM/MMO niche these days.

I use Aweber for a while and I fully satisfied with them. But I can also recommend to try Mailchimp.

So Imnica, MailChimp, Aweber any others you like?
The prices change quite a bit, is Aweber the best?

As others have already pointed out you need to be using a quality autoresponder service otherwise you may as well give up on your email marketing efforts now. Aweber and icontact are the most popular.

Thank you for the replies. I ended up going with constant contact as they have a special deal with the client management software I use. I agree, autoresponders are essential but getting your emails delivered is even more important.
