I think forums are good for learning

What do you think of forums in terms of learning?

I think that it is a great place as you can discuss any doubt with global community and you can resolve your doubts as well.

But one thing I'm not sure about that all the replies and answers may be true you also have to use your common sense as there may be any kind of members newbies as well as experience.

It also depends on the forums, on some forums moderators would also help you in resolving your questions..

Yes am agreed with you this source is very important and helpful for learning we post our question and get admirable answers some time not but mostly we get the solution of our problems there for i also think that forums are better source to learn then blogs and any other online medium.

I would definitely agree with you. Forums are a great source of leaning and experiencing new things.
You participate in discussions, you come to know about latest trends and things, you learn about what other people are doing and what sort of issues and difficulties they are facing, even you learn from others mistakes and learn not to do the same if you would be doing the same thing in future.
You agree with people and you sometimes disagree with people, that's also learning.
You make new good contacts. You help others, and just a little thanks make you feel so good.

Forums are essential. I think because most of use are IM's and SEO's, being able to talk to each other is a way of exchanging resources, ideas, advice and just extending a hand in friendship. With the way things are changing in our environment online, its good to know there are a few rock solid areas you can still rely on for information, a shoulder to cry on, or a space to rant when things go wrong. It may be a sugarcoated idea, but I believe that a forum community is what you make of it. If you add valuable information and help where you can, you help set that forum above the rest and create a "safe haven" for others to be able to do the same.

If contributors of forums would provide very useful information, then learning would not be difficult. I myself sometimes ask questions for things I do not know. Then I receive good feedbacks that way I can say I'm gaining knowledge and learning.

Before responding to the thread, I would congrats Franberries because now he’s one of our moderators.

I agree that forum is good place to learn and keep updated with new informations on the topic that you like. Even so, don’t you realize the trend of discussion activities is now a little shifted? The people began to discuss topic via a Facebook group so that the existence of forum is threatened.

IM talk is less spamming forum. Just watch the other forums. Thousands of spammers just dancing always. IM talk is calm, cool and informative.
