Thread: Is Facebook a challenge for Google?

I know Google is a search engine while Facebook is a social networking sites.

But if we see in terms of popularity then Facebook is also a great site.

It is getting improvement day by day... it has some problem some months before related to security issue but now it is improving a lot.

What would you say?

Yes, their can be. Google is now in community sites with Google+ and Facebook is in process of making a personalized Search Engine that will be real threat to Google. So War has already been started between big rivals. Lets see what happened.

Facebook only focus on social network, it search query will relate only to inside FB and also it take a piece of index from Bing.. but Google control the world

We have now got Google +1, and its so popular atm that Google only issue a few invitations at a time and their servers are constantly flooded, and we are also going to have a Facebook search engine soon. I think the gloves are off and things are going to get really interesting around the interwebs. Facebook took out Myspace a long time ago, just like Google took out most of their competition to get tot he top.

BTW, has anybody experienced Google+? If so, please share your opinion..

In terms of challenging, both are challenging for each other because i hear that Facebook is gonna launch a search engine with Bing. On the other hand, Google also lauched Beta version of Google Plus version.

Ya its always.Well guys you know this thing that one of the most popular site in time is Facebbok and it always get million and billions of visitrs daily with lots and lots of click.Visitors are investing 2-3 hrs daily on Facebbok.So i am dam sure about it that Facebook is only the site which one is always a challege for Google.

Yes, Google+ lacks some features that facebook has (Since it’s new and beta)

Google+ does not have anything special for a typical facebook freak who does not care much about privacy
Google+ does not have an own powerful branding as a social network (It’s a sub-product of google and not a mere social network brand like “facebook”) However, this is how it could be released because a unique branding is too weeker to compete Facebook.

I think it's time to ask the same question in reverse way because I think now Google+ is challenge for Facebook.

Nope both super powers

both are good but both are different.
