Well, after the previously developed tool posted on Imtalk: "Backlink Extractor"
Here I am in development again, this time responding to a general need: "How to extract subtitles from youtube videos?"
As you might have noticed, Youtube added an new button in some videos which is called "Interactive Transcript"
For example Obama Speech 2012 has this buttonWhat it does basically, a robot automatically listen to what is said in the video and write it in Text format.Code:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8Eu9wDAYbU
Really cool, this bot is doing thousand of videos a day, even understand songs.
The issue is, you can read but what if you want to extract all these Spoken text in a video?
For example, you want to have a text-copy on your computer of the Obama speech. You will soon notice that you can't copy it properly from youtube without getting "00:20 obama says: Hello" You would want only "Hello"
Well, that's why I created SERPsite Youtube subs extractor tool. At this time, it's the only Web based tool i've found on the internet.
In 3 Easy steps, you'll be able to extract subtitles let's take in this example the VIDEO URL posted previously.
- Copy video URL:
Code:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8Eu9wDAYbU- Go to
Code:http://www.serpsite.com/youtube-subtitles-download-tool/- Paste video URL in the input box and CLICK "Extract Transcript" (Do not hit ENTER the tool won't work)
The extracted content should be in a Textarea box, you can copy paste into your favorite Word processor, or download it in .TXT or .SRT format (in .SRT format you'll be able to drag it in VLC for example)
Watch: I've just made a video tutorial to guide you step-by-step

What can it be useful for? Well the possibilities are limitless, find a new video talking about "Google Internet marketing" for example, you can create a blog article with this fresh extracted content from the youtube video. Obviously there will be some editing to make it coherent, but it won't be as hard as writing the whole thing by yourself!
If you tried my Tool and have some suggestions or appreciations, please feel free!
