Yes this is truly great phone, with it's computing power I'm hoping that it will replace my laptop while I'm on the road with my bike
It needs some tweaks, new apps, but maybe then it will even replace my laptop for good in some near future, but we will see what that little phone can do.

Note II is a great phone. BUT you can not replace your laptop. I tried.... but... hmmm..

So note II is great display, fast, enough ram (fast samsung with 2 GB RAM) but for me it was too big as a phone to carry every where.

I needed a phone to replace my laptop in places i can not bring the laptop or just to have SSH and ftp to the servers.
(i can not replace my desktop thou)

I switched back to Galaxy S3 International version from Hungary (they had a promotion for 700usd when i got it)
When you root the phone you have a great platform to set everything you want the way you want it.

Now i have replaced my laptop for 80% of the tings (when i am traveling) .. and in the same time i have a phone i can carry in my pocket. SSH, FTP all kind of tools i need and in case of emergency Teem viewer to my desktop.
Last time i designed a banner with my S3 using teem viewer to my desktop
(if its not a problem i will post it here.. but i dont think its a good idea) lol

now waiting for my S4 to arrive.
Note 2 is a s4 with big screen. if you need it(screen) then its the perfect phone for you.

If you plan to use the Note 2 get it rooted and flashed ith what you want. But if you dont root it then... you are stuck with really limited options. but i am sure you already know that.

ohh forgot to mention that i changed my battery with 5000 mAh battery pack.
Yeah its much heavier but it can last 2-3 days with heavy HSDPA usage.

Yes it is on a bigger side... I was considering other 4.7 inch phones because as you said it they're are smaller and more convenient to carry.
But finally I decided for note 2 because of its bigger screen and great hardware. Im very satisfied so far, but I will see when I set it up as I like and need. I would like it to replace my laptop because I don't use it very much but mostly I need it to replace my laptop while I am on the trip with my bike. But I know it will never replace my desktop pc. I just love my desktop and I can't imagine to do my work on anything else not even on a laptop.

I am currently using LG Optimus One, it's a bit old now though the phone still works with what I just need.

HTC One X, is my currently Phone. Anyhow i like the HTC Brand, the phone have enough power to handle everything without any lag. This Quadcore 1.5 Ghz is amazing. Before i was having a small HTC Wildfire which i debrand and hack. It was funny to use, but
lot of times the Wildfire lag becausue of its 500Ghz CPU. I overclocked it to over 700 Ghz, but still was not nice... Now i am happy with the ONE X. agh, and the Iphone 3GS i was too having some month ago, but it died badly trough Sahara Sand on my Marrocco traveling. The fine Sand
killed it fully.
