Thread: How to properly configure Hotlink protection?

Hi,

I'd like to prevent direct hot linking to my files to save my bandwidth and so I've decided to use the hotlink protection offered by host.

But before I mess up with something, I'd like to know more about how to properly configure hotlink protection !

Oh ... Then it would effect my linkbuilding efforts !! Is it possible to set an exception for pinterest ?

actually on control panel, it is easy to setup hotlnking protection, there is no way you will mess up, also, you can also add the domains that you want to be excempted from the hotlinking protection like facebook,google,pinterest and whichever site you want your images or stuff to be crawled or used
