How can i display transparent favicon in my site?

I know how to add favicon in site but it will display white back ground i want ro display my favicon transparent.

That will be a function of your image editor. Probably the GIMP can do this. I have thought about doing this but not dug into my image editor to see if it is possible.

If so, you have to first create an favicon with suitable size with PNG format and convert it into .ICO format.
