What happen to link building industries if PR is demolish forever

As we know.. if you want to link to high PR website, you need to pay for higher price.. Such as if you wanna have backlink from actual homepage PR7 that cost a lot of money...

What happen if one day Google announce that PR no more relevant and the system is removed forever.

What happen to link building industries that rely on PR? i see some backlink service based on PR.Higher PR means higher rate..

So if PR demolish forever what price range they are gonna offer and also based on what? then, is there any effect on link building industries?

    lets discuss here

If that happened, quantity would be > quality and every link as long as they're relevant and have a substantial amount of content would be worth virtually the same. This would make competition extremely hard vs people who have thousands of backlinks. I highly doubt this would ever happen though.

Also high PR is extremely good for sub pages. For example the free dictionary has a sub page for every single definition in their database. I highly doubt they build backlinks for every single one of the thousands of definitions they have, but they don't have to, because their domain PR is so high(8), a lot of their definitions will be on the first page of Google because the sub pages are connected to the domain which has an 8 PR. I also have seen this in action with other sites that have high PR where I knew for a fact one of their sub pages had no backlinks but ended up number 1 in Google for the title/keyword of the page. Of course, stuff like that again wouldn't work or matter if Google got rid of PR, but again, I highly doubt it would ever happen.

Since PR is only one of the several ranking factors. If PR is demolish forever, then i think all link building program based upon CTR. Higher CTR with low bounce rate seems to be higher cost. But relevancy is important at every cases.

google is not going to remove PR completely, yes but it might remove it from public access.

Which means Google will maintain your PR but you will not be able to see just like many other factors which google maintain and doe snot show to you...

I doubt they are removing PR. Most likely they are updating their algorithm again. However, if they did decide to remove PR completely it could cause some panic for a lot of people who list linkbuilding services. I still think quality would be key but it would be a lot harder to find. I'm sure someone would come out with a tool that would determine quality sites.

I was a strong believer of having HIGH PR affects ranking but when my ranking goes from no6 to no3 and pr for that page dropped from PR4 TO PR0, now i am going to dam care for PR. So PR can be a major factor for advertising spots or selling links but for ranking, i dont thinks so now.

many people still believe and many people also considered th myth of high PR effects... a lot of factor must be analyzed and proven record must be shown.. a lot of people success with high PR ranking and a lot of people also failed with that method
