well is it seo wheel in which you do each and every procedure one by one or you mean to say link wheel over here .. !!!

These days Link pyramids work better than link wheels. Maybe because this way you have less visible patterns and you can build links to each of your 1tier property without connecting to each other.

A link wheel is a spammy way to get low quality backlinks which won't do much at all for your rankings. Maybe a few years ago, but not today.

The Link wheel has worked well for me but I agree that the link pyramid works even better. A combination of the 2 is not very hard but is a little time consuming. Take advantage of not only the free blogs out there and blog dot com in my opinion offers better ancher text options than most. Also take adnatage of your free websites like webs and weebly. I prefer Weebly because it allows so much more seo then some of the others and even the free version offers more than enough tools for link wheel and link pyramids both.

Caveman : I agree the link wheel can be a spammy way for low quality links but with some basic common sense tactics applied you have to admit for the guys starting out it is a starting point. I would rather have some low quality backlinks than none at all. What I mean by common sense applied is dont use the same anchor text over and over again. Mix it up while still using the key word anchor text but add some more wording to it. Personally I have had real good luck even within the past 6 months by using the link wheel but mixing the anchor text key words and also mixing up with different blogs and free websites. I know I am repeating myself here and I promise I don't own stock in weebly but those guys at weebly have a super easy platform with great seo pages that are so easy to build and make look very professional. Keep in mind though a link pyramid builds those one way links right back to your main website and a strong foundation such as facebook and TED are some great high ranking pages you can put url's on to build that pyramid.

I mentioned using social websites like facebook and TED for a great foundation of building backlinks this made me think. Does anyone know of any other social websites that let you add dofollow backlinks? I did not know about TED until yesterday so any help on this would be appreciated.

it means interlinking websites together eg if we have website A B C and D then linking A to B to C to D, linking B to A to C to D, linking D to B to A to D and so on and so fort that is what it means

what about link wheel from web 2.0 such as blogger, hubpages.squidoo, skyrock and many more, are this spammy too?, this are all web2.0 with high PR

Link wheel, link submission, guest posting and forum posting are all off page SEO that can help your site's ranking but the authority of the page where your link are is very important. If you have 10 links on a pages with(PR = page rank) PR5, PR6, PR7 and you have your links on 1000s pages with PR0 to PR2, the links on high PRs will be useful than those ones on low PRs.
Therefore, if you want your link wheel to be useful you must use pages with good PR. The most important thing that I know is that you must diversify your linking strategies.
