Do backlinks from bad sites harmfully affect my Page Rank?
I think backlinks from bad sites might be negatively affecting of PageRank.

I think not if there are few such links, but if your all links are from bad sites then it will.

I don't think so Admin, if you're having a link with no PR then it might gives a negative point for your site on Google's eyes. Its not my personal experience but also not an fiction as one of my family member had face this situation in their past.

Then all you have to do to get rid of your competition is to post their site to bad sites/pages or to sites/pages with no PR. I don't think so?
What if page is not indexed by google, that page has no PR also, will it give negative point also??
I think that prior to claim something you need to have some experiance, so you can say that you know what you are talking about.

What disrespect, are you serious?
What will clear doubts, this post on the blog you suggested?
What sort of evidence has this post, his author and that blog?

I said that you must be sure and know what you are talking about, prior to stating something!

Furthuremore in this post(which you referring to: # Removing the Blogroll) is clear that this blog was doing link exchanges, what this have to do with backlinks from bad websites or from pages with no PR???
Also I have stated that only links from your site to "bad" site will be penalized by google. Isn't link exchange giving link to another site in return for link back???

Now i got it, actually i'm a reader of that blog and after seeing his post and his email to be, i was just shock so i just wanted to confirm thats why i started a thread in dp where few people agreed that his right and few said NO.

It was a confusion for me to understand that Google can penalized my site just because of that blogroll. I'm sorry i'll not share the knowledge which i'm not sure about, it will not happen from next time. Thanks for not sending any infraction!

Oh no, infractions are just for some bad, bad things, this is just discussion in my eyes
And google can't ban or penalize your site for having "quality" blogroll links, but for non adecvate link exchage you might face some penalties.

If you give backlink to that site, only then it will affect your site otherwise answer it does not iffect
