Basically the plugin redirects all the 404 pages not found errors to the homepage or any custom page.
My question here is: Whether it is safe to use this plugin from SEO point of view or not!

Its safe, 404 means error page, that reduces the no.of errors in your site... error free means more trust and dependable site!
