Thread: Add these in WordPress and get your post indexed faster[Tutorial]

When i add these actions to my word press Blog, and i saw bots indexing my posts quickly or faster than before. So you can also try this method.

Go to WP Dashboard
Go to Settings -> Writing

At the bottom there will be Update Service

This is something must-know for all Wordpress user. However, I read one article stated that not all of these ping services still work. Moreover, I think you don’t need to put it all since Google engine is already fast in indexing new site/post. But thx for share!

This is recommended for new Website. Google will not index links of new sites fastly.

I'd only use this technique if you have a new website

Regarding CBnet Ping Optimizer - the people who manage my VPS told me that it is a huge resource hog that degrades the performance of a Wordpress site. It can even degrade the performance of the whole server if there are too many instances of it running. They strongly suggested I remove it, which I did. I immediately noticed that my server was using much less CPU and RAM to service my sites, most of which are Wordpress. Site pages loaded faster as a result.

As for the long list of Ping services, many of them do not exist now. I also found when I had a long list like this that whenever I added a new post or updated an existing one, once I hit the Update or Post button it took sometimes up to 2 minutes to complete the process. So I went back to the one that comes with Wordpress. Whenever I have a new site, I use an online ping service like Google Ping or Ping Expert to get the spiders interested. For normal everyday updates, the built-in service should be sufficient.

I have seen articles, can't remember where now, that are questioning whether pinging is even of any value any more.
