Thread: PANDA hit your website?

Hey guys,

Did Panda hit your website? If yes, check following points to gain rankings and reputation back.

1) If you think your content is of low quality, so the best thing is to improve it or remove it to.
(because after panda google is strictly taking actions to those who have copied or rewritten content)
2) Search for pages on your website which you think is hit worst by search engine
3) Edit over-optimized pages
4) 301 redirect page
5) Quality backlinks are helpful in gaining positions as compared to quantity.

If you have some more points, you can share below..

I took a hit on some sites, but it was to be expected. I had neglected them for a very long time.

But you know, I've dealt with it, rebuilt the sites and now just getting ready to move on with some great new resources and some great new content.

I've said before and I'll say it again. I have a site that has 30 pages of duplicate content and it's earning more and more each month. I started it in February, just before the Panda, and I believe that Google doesn't care about duplicate content, it cares about the rest of the whole SEO package. I've obviously promoted my site harder than the original content and therefore I'm ranking #1 and #2 for lots of my keywords. The content was from a client that didn't pay but used it anyway, so I deliberately went out of my way to make this site rank harder. It turns out that the money he should have paid me I was better off making my own site as it's earned a lot more than that.

I'm not saying go out and duplicate content all over your site, but my site's proof that something isn't what it seems with dupe content.

The Panda looks at everything on your site, not just your content. From what I have read its a combination of different aspects as well as the panda that generally gets a low quality site in trouble. Focus on content, yes, focus on its quality, but make sure the rest of your site follows suit when it comes to links etc.

I too haven't had a problem with indexing or ranking duplicate content sites. What I've noticed is that if I have 2 identical pages in my site, only one will get indexed by Google.

I'm not sure about Panda, as I wasn't building sites at the time it appeared (February as I've heard).

Can you tell, Panda is only for content or for other things in SEO as well?

The panda had no affected on my sites that was bad 2 of my sites went up in ranking.
