Bounce rate will create the wrong image in front of search engines. The search engine will think that user is not finding what they are looking, and this might be one of the reasons which result in bounce rate. It will affect your ranking too because Google did not entertain those websites which not meant for the users.

Already some answered are recorded above, ok fine, i would like to tell in simple words, it's like how comfortable your website is to users, how much time they are staying on your website. So if some user stays better quality time on your website then it's worth increase and bounce rate decreases. Means when bounce rate is low then website is getting good worth and visitors are staying on it, and try to maintain it low by increasing websites optimization.

Bounce Rate is the percentage of single-page visits means the person left your site from the entrance page without interacting with the page. It should be as low as possible.

Bounce rate (sometimes confused with exit rate) is an Internet marketing term used in web traffic analysis. It represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and then leave ("bounce") rather than continuing on to view other pages within the same site.

Bounce rate is a measure of the effectiveness of a website in encouraging visitors to continue with their visit. It is expressed as a percentage and represents the proportion of visits that end on the first page of the website that the visitor sees.

You can use your .htaccess file to block spam from ip addresses that visit your site. Look for users who were on your site for about a second, then block those IP referrers.
