Thread: Clickbank marketing?

Hey,
I'm completely new to this forum and to this affiliate marketing thing.
But it's come to my attention through some decent reviews about it.
I would love to add affiliate marketing to my income stream while working my current day job.
I'm just curious on the way one would go about selling these products. I have literally zero will power to stop my current project and jump from this to that and then another new thing.
So, my question here is this:
Would affiliate marketing be more effective using e-mail marketing tactics or finding places like adwords and creating PPC campaigns to make commissioned sales?
Obviously, if you can do both you would want to. But I'm looking at it more directly.
E-mail marketing using a 15,000 e-mail list with a 3% open rate or a PPC campaign where you spend $75+ a day on a keyword?

The best option is if you have your own opt-in list.
But if you don't and you need to pay for email marketing or PPC,
then it really depends on how targeted is that list and how people in that list are buy-happy, etc...
and also it depends how well orchestrated is that PPC campaign.
So there are no losers or winners in this case, you just need to split test it to see what is best in your particular case.

Hmm, so there aren't any guarantee wins unless you have your own opt-in form and they're actually interested in buying what you'll be offering them....
I hear great things about E-mail marketing but I think they only do so well because they spent years building a list that is niche targeted...
Anyways, that was just a curious question. I've always like the idea of affiliate marketing but I never knew how to really put it to use.
