I'm new to IMTalk and I'm happy to have found this forum. Everyone seems very nice, educated and helpful.

I have one question. I just started an affiliate program, it's in pre-launch and free to join right now. I'm pretty new to internet marketing and don't really have a clue as to how to advertise it. The methods that I've tried so far are 7search ppc and a website that automatically posts backlinks.

My website is LeadSystemPower dot com, it launches in a couple of days and I have yet to get any leads/signups.

Do you have any tips you could offer, websites or articles you could refer me to where I can learn how to advertise online. I don't mind reading and taking the time to learn or even purchasing a book or product that can help.

Hello mhelm, i think there are still lots of things you need to learn when it comes to internet marketing, especially on how to rank and generate traffic to your site or blogs that is what really matter most in this situation, just know that if you don't have traffic to your site no body will sign up either will you have any lead, hence the need to learn first how to generate traffic and rank well in major search engine.

here are a few thought that will be helpful and vital to your site
1. you must learn how to write quality and valuable content that will be helpful or assist your visitor solve there problems
2. your site should be on page SEO compliant
3. learn how to rank your site

there are many free ways you can use in advertising your site, first through article writing and submitting it to article directories such as ezineartilces.com, goarticles.com, articlebase.com and many more. web2.0 is another source you can submit articles to this include, blogspot.com, hubpages, flixya.com, wikihow.com, ehow.com, squidoo.com etc

social bookmarking and social networking sites are a great way for marketing your site such as facebook, twitter, google plus, etc, there are so many sources for getting traffic to your site you just have to learn how to do this the right way to start seeing traffic in your site, but remember IT TAKES TIME it just don't happen over night.

least i forget as a member of imtalk forum look at the top of this very forum there is a section for IMtool, you have free rss submmitter as well as free directory submitter make use of them they are all free to use best of all you get quality links by submitting and getting links to your site by using this tool.

once more you said there is a site that automatically posts backlinks to your site, then how quality are these links? if you don't trust those links don't use them because it may end up harming your site, few months back google rolled out a new update called penguin targeting site with low quality backlinks so you need to be very careful the kind of links you let into your site.
