Is alexa credible?
It is mainly based on its toolbar right, but who has the toolbar installed?

As i am IM so i will need to know to predict some things so it is credible for me.

I have installed Alexa toolbar in all my web browsers.

Alexa toolbar is essential if you are hunting for traffic for your website, especially people that count for cost per impression... if not it just to see how good you are in term of traffic drive in

Alexa is necessary if one wants to sell a website as well as to check how much traffic one is driving, Though that can also be seen via hosting panel [Number of hits a website gets].
Still it is widely used by every one. :-)

alexa is credile and is pretty good to valuate a website

Alexa is useless in my own opinion. I call it spyware.

You don't really need to use alexa ranking to sell a website. What you need to provide is Google analytics, month revenue (with proof), PR if anyone actually cares about PR.

I don't buy a website because it has 100,000 ranking. If the site makes next to nothing for money and the site don't rank well for all it's keywords, i move on to another website. My ranking is just over 150,000 on my blog but it's those darn india people that i have a ranking in the xx,xxx figure. Most of them are the folks who use software to try to spam my blog but i have some custom coding to ban them.

Improve your daily traffic and your alexa ranking will improve without you having there widget on your website or even having there toolbar installed. I got my ranking without having there widget or toolbar installed by focusing on lots of unique traffic.

I see, dont know why people refer to it so much though.
Too bad hosting panel stats cannot be shared, or?
