Thread: promoting anything on internet

It depends on the niche which you have if the niche more relevant to social cause then social networking websites are good platform to use as these websites generate more users for cuase.

YouTube has proved to be most beneficial to me though I'm not keen on the new updates to say the least.

no doubt about it, if you can make good quality of your own videos (not steal from someone), people will respect it and start subscribing your channel and spread your video around,i saw many youtubers make their own living by performing something on youtube and got million review and also revenue from google ads

I am totally agree with you.Ya social network are the best place for promoting your business.One of the most easiest and successful method os forum posting.Its really effective.It works like any thing for your bright future of your business.

Besides the best place for promoting business, it is the best place for desperate marketer and scammer to annoy and even cheat us, they even promote fake product, just keep yourself alert about those scammer

Social networks are a good way to promote, but you need to do more than just paste links into the tweets, or updates in FB. If clients only see product and no company, it could have a negative effect on our business. Interaction is the keyword talk to people like you would on a forum, it helps clients see what kind of person you are and helps build trust.

and convince them to ur products

totally agreed! big companies/multinational companies realize the important of social media.. now you can see every tv ads will follow with this tagline, "follow us on facebook" or "follow our twitter"

When I am promoting things for my items I'm selling here is how I do it:

List it in my local class-fields once a day for a week..
If I have no buy I move on-to
Making a for sale thread on a forum (active)
If I have no one still buy
I will move on to posting the links on my Facebook account and Twitter

you can promote your business if you wanted more traffic .

First, create your Brand (a brand means this "CocaCola").

2) Write down a solid plan (your goals)

3) Use every marketing technique available

This forum is a good place to find everything... :-) Focus on reach your goals.

I know someone had the dumbest idea of promoting a site of popcorns... Last I heard he was getting about $100 a month from the site with adsense...

How can we forget Social Bookmarking.. Sites like Stumble, Digg, Reddit, Traffup and Delicious are great to bring free and genuine website traffic.

As long as there are still people who ask these kinds of questions, there's still hope that ethical marketing is indeed possible. It's good that you still draw some lines that you would not croos when it comes to marketing and it would be good if people follow your example.

For that one I would rather say use marketing techniques that will help you and are not a health risk to your site. There are too many techniques out there that can hurt rather than help a site. Its just better to focus on your own style/techniques. Try different things and see how well they work, so that, in the end, you only use those that are successful.

Ethical marketing is still there and is still used quite a lot. I just think that, with all the new algo updates from Google, they are trying to get some marketers back into the habit of keeping it clean so that everyone has more or less the same opportunities.
