How beneficial is forum from marketing point of view?

Well, all we know that forums are good for learning, you can discuss anything in forums if you have any subject, doubt, question, you can get views by others on that subjects.

However, if we talk about in terms of earning good money from forums how do you do it, are you earning from forums or are you able to promote your brand name, services, products in forums?

Forums have also marketing section where you can sell/buy section but I have seen many members that they use other section for marketing purposes but other forum members don't understand what they are doing?

Forums are a way to build relationships with other people. It's good for branding purposes and it's also good for sharing knowledge. You can make money indirectly by having a link to your website which can help the website in the SERPs, or if they person enters the website, he or she may end up buying a product or service from there on one of the website's pages.

Forums aren't just about links, PR and all that. its like any other social network, where you get to communicate with people, sell a product or service and network. if you use it properly, it becomes an invaluable tool. if you abuse it however, it becomes useless. people see how you react to others, they see how you deal with clients, they see how your product fairs (is it being boaught, is it popular on the forum) and this all works towards your and your business' reputation. Convenient isn't it There is so much more you can do in a forum if you take the time to be part of the community, than just hanging around trying to get a link or two in before a mod bans you. So it really is very beneficial for a person to take the time and give back to a forum. It works the same way in any form of marketing. lol remember the story about the turtle and the hare? It's the same principle.

I do not think like that, you offer a product because you think the forum needs your product. and you try to market it, not the main purpose of joining the forum to direct market a product, is a community forum so you should be able to contribute in a community, not to come and sell, I feel like that, Iam sorry if i am wrong

It’s work. In fact, lots of people doing forum marketing as their main way to earn money. To reach this level, I agree with some members who put relationship building as the priority. When people have been trusted by other members, anything they’re offering in the community will sell well.
