In "11th IMT Contest has Started, $100 Prize!!!" it's writing that for "Points for Thread Ratings Given" I'll receive 0.5 points... I give rating on 3 threads and I never receive any points, why?

If you read carefully, you would notice this link:
http://www.imtalk.org/vbactivity.php?do=contests

and on that page is info about the contest, so there are "Excluded Criteria" and "Excluded Forums" among other things...
