Thread: 5th IMTalk.org Activity Contest - $100 first prize!

Well, it's only my 2nd day, and with two posts, at least I'm not last! *grins* This is a great idea, I don't think I've seen this type of thing at any other forum and it is probably a great motivator to get folks participating here... I originally just joined to use the tools, but I think I will be taking an interest in the other elements of the site (not just because of the contest, but because the moderators are thinking of creative ways to build up participation). Cool!

Am i right? If the contest period end and there's no one reach 1000 points, the prize is still given to member with most point?

That is how I read the contest statement. The last posting contest was set to rollover, but this one it appears that the point leader will be declared winner.

I'm sorry if description was confusing, but this is what I have stated:
"First member who reaches 1000 activity points in one month will be awarded by $100.
So contest is starting today 01.11.2011 and will be ending when someone reaches 1000 points or in one month from now 01.01.2012 if no one reaches that 1000 mark."
This means that someone will be awarded if that person reaches 1000 point mark in one month period,
and that contest will end in one month, but without a winner if no one reaches that point mark.

Furthermore i stated this...:
If no one reaches 1000 activity points in a month period,
then we will start new contest next month, starting from the 0 activity points and prize money($100) will be carried and added from last months to the new contest, which will then result in $200 prize money for that next contest and so on...

Sadly no one hitted that 1000 point mark, so we don't have a winner
But as I wrote few times before we will transfer and add up this prize money($100) to the next contest
and next contest will then have $200 prize

Is there a link for the current standings in this months contest? The link in the first post just showed a blank page. I looked around a bit but could not find any information.

You must go to the previous contest and select 5th contest to view standings.
